About SPEF

The Single Parent Educational Foundation, or SPEF was founded in 1995 by Ellen Huang. Our mission is to aid the growing number of single-parent-families in Taiwan.

We take in moms-in-need. We learn their story. And figure out how we can help.

What We Give Them

SPEF gives food and temporary shelter to the most-in-need. And provides financial aid so they can settle their debts.

We invest in the long term health of our moms. Through counselling, we help repair any emotional damage. We educate them and find them jobs so that they can sustain their success.

Since 1995, SPEF has helped over 10,000 single-parent-families get back on their feet.
